The River Tells Something

The river was lapping

lapping the sand

lapping against the takeoff of gulls

lapping on my heart

that has been yearning for peace

and for accommodating everything

The river was beating

beating the iron gate

beating against an artificial dam

as if a giant beast was roaring

attempting to break free from the chains

Fear suddenly filled my heart

there’s no monster

but I perceived the ambitions of human being

to devour the whole original world

and leave nothing
